Today’s post is part three of “Why” I wrote my new book Rooted: Reach Deep. Burn Bright. Stand Strong. I hope each of these posts encourage you to get the book and recommend it to others. I believe it’s message is timely and life changing. So what is reason three?
Lights burn out.
If you’ve ever owned a home, you know that lights tend to burn out after a while. It is the same with people of faith. Many long time saints have lost the fire that once consumed their lives. One of the reasons I wrote ROOTED: Reach Deep. Burn Bright. Stand Strong., was to encourage people to plug-in again to the most powerful voltage known to man. The Holy Spirit. It is through this connection that we burn bright again for Christ and live lives of passion and power. Without a re-connection, we live only on batteries that will eventually fade and need to be replaced. Jesus desires the we have a constant connection to the Father through the Holy Spirit, this was a main purpose behind the Sermon on the Mount. How do you reach deep and connect with the Holy Spirit’s strength? I would love to hear your thoughts and ideas.
